Customers wishing to enjoy Frank’s Ice Cream will soon be able to sit in comfort and relax with their friends & family or pop in for a quick takeaway at Frank’s new Ice Cream Parlour that will also incorporate the significant addition of a new Product Development Centre to our production facility at our Capel Hendre site.
Discerning shoppers across the Gulf region are now able to enjoy Frank’s Ice Cream thanks to a partnership with LuLu Hypermarket, a major chain or stores present throughout the GCC states (GCC – The Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf).
New expansion developments see Frank’s great grandson Dino, join the family business in a new management role in the Product Development Team to oversee the growth and development of new business.
The £1.5 million project was part funded by the European Union Food Business Investment Scheme and managed by the welsh government rural and agricultural development team. It saw the doubling of dry storage facilities, more than a trebling of its frozen storage capacity, as well as a new extension of reception and office areas.

The Prince of Wales concluded a tour of Wales with a visit to Frank’s ice cream factory.

The family-run Carmarthenshire ice cream maker won a multi-year contract to supply NHS hospitals in Wales.
The order saw Frank’s Ice Cream, based at Capel Hendre in Ammanford, which has been in business for over 80 years, produce more than a million small tubs of strawberry and vanilla ice cream a year.
One of Frank’s unique product ranges, their Diabetic Vanilla and Diabetic Strawberry ice cream – now renamed Dialicious, was rolled out into major UK supermarket chains countrywide following success in NHS Hospitals throughout the country.
